BBS has started the work of building a Khana-based database by collecting socio-economic and demographic information of Khana and Khana members through interviews from all the Khanas (about 3.5 crore) in the country. In this database, a score indicating the socio-economic status of each cell will be given. This database will be very helpful in selecting the beneficiaries of about 100 social security programs in the country. The database will be used to deliver other services to the doorsteps of the people quickly and accurately.
Business Register has already been prepared to create a fully centralized database with some important basic information of every permanent business in the country. It will be used as the main framework for the formulation of economic statistics of the country. The business register will contain information on the name, address, legal structure, type of functions, number of manpower employed, annual average production, total assets, etc. of each organization.
